Player Submission Agreement for PvZ2 Gardendless

Thank you for your enthusiasm and support for PvZ2: Gardendless! To better regulate player submissions of custom levels and mods, and to ensure the development team can use player-created content compliantly and safely, please carefully read and agree to the following terms. By uploading or submitting custom levels and mods through official channels such as the official website or Discord server, you acknowledge your full acceptance of this agreement.

1. Authorization Statement

You agree that any custom levels and mods uploaded or submitted to the PvZ2: Gardendless development team (hereinafter referred to as "the Team") automatically grant the Team and its partners the following rights:

To publicize, display, and promote your work in any form, including but not limited to showcasing it on the official website, official Discord server, social media, livestream platforms, and other channels.
To freely use, modify, distribute, and republish your levels and mods, provided such actions comply with applicable laws and regulations.
To integrate your submitted levels and mods into any in-game features, including but not limited to level/mod challenges, level/mod creation tools, and other gameplay expansions.
To display, publish, promote, and share your creations with other players in any form.

2. Open-Source Licensing

Your submitted custom levels and mods will automatically be open-sourced under the MIT License, permitting the Team and all other users to freely use your work under the terms defined by the license. You agree that others may copy, modify, merge, publish, create derivative works, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell the content in accordance with the license.

3. Warranties and Liability

You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all necessary rights to upload the levels and mods, and that the content does not infringe upon any third party’s intellectual property, privacy rights, or other legal rights. You assume full responsibility for any legal disputes or claims arising from your submissions and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Team and its partners in such cases.

4. Modifications and Termination

The Team reserves the right to modify this agreement and will notify players of changes through appropriate channels. Continued submissions after modifications constitute acceptance of the revised terms. You may cease submitting custom levels and mods to the Team at any time. However, previously submitted content remains subject to this agreement, and all granted authorizations are non-revocable.

5. Effective Date

This agreement takes effect automatically upon your submission of levels or mods and remains valid indefinitely. By submitting custom levels and mods, you confirm that you have read and agreed to the above terms.

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the “Software”), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is furnished to do so, subject to the following conditions:

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.
